Hello! I am Jari Mortier, student at Ghent University. I am currently in my third year of industrial design and will continue on this educational path until I'm satisfied.
Work Experience
Waiter
Domein Vossenberg
This first job made me realise I never want to work in the catering industry or retail ever again.
Head coach trampoline
Elastika Roeselare VZW
This started as a small job on the side, but has grown into something I love. Being able to teach kids my own hobby is amazing and even furthers my communication and educational skills as an added bonus.
Data entry/ database UI developer
Remi Claeys Aluminium NV
What started out as a standard student job, data entry. Turned into something special when tasked with writing an interface macro for their datasheets. I got the "promotion" after asking my chef for something more challenging and he obliged!
Education
Industrial sciences (applied STEM)
VTI Roeselare
My interest in science only grew here (even though there were certain professors wo where rather keen on making sure that wasn't the case.)
Most of my mathematic skills were learned here.
Course initiator gymnastics
Gymfed VTS
I took this course on my own account. It made me a better trainer.

Even while taking this course I can already comment on the overload of projects we have to make. It teaches how you better plan ahead.

Hobbies
I have always liked gymnastics and for most of that time I have trained the trampoline.
Recently I have discovered the fun of apparatus gymnastics. I have since been training on men's rings, high bar, parallel bars and floor.
Another hobby of mine is gaming, most of my favorite games are platformers like the Mario games. There are some exceptions like
BOTW,
TOTK
and The Outer Wilds.
